Where to get those for FREE? In Adelaide or any cities in Australia? Here’s my tips.
You can get good quality used cardboard boxes for free:
- In the CBD areas. For example, Adelaide CBD have 2 days every week for rubbish removal, Tuesday afternoon and Friday afternoon after 5pm. Normally all shops will put all used boxes in front their shops, ready to be picked up during bin collection. Similar rules apply to most capital city in Australia
- Bunnings Warehouse. Heaps of free boxes usually available near cashier counters. However, those cartons normally not big enough and they only allow you to get maximum 2 cartons
- Music Shops. Music shops like Derringer usually have plenty of it. Ask the guys on the front desk if you can get some used cardboard boxes. Music shops usually have very good quality used cardboard boxes. Thick, big, clean and FREE!.
- Bike Shops. Bike shops always have used cartons available. Other than for bike, you can also use it for TV (new TV box is quite expensive). Ask the shop and most likely they will give it for free or for very small fee. Most used bike box also usually in very good quality, big and clean.
- Grocery Shops. Find any grocery shops nearby, they would be happy to give you some used cartons for free!
- Supermarkets.Big supermarkets like Woolworths or Coles might have it too, but normally are not good enough/small, because you need strong and big cardboard boxes.
Save the environment with re-use of used cardboard boxes!
